i need help importing a homemade animation

ok so i made an animation with macromedia fireworks and i want to know how to put it into my about me. i know about photobucket and stuff. but i think i need to make it a gif or jpg file cuz right now its a png file. does anyone know what im talking about or know how to help me?

try opening it in paint, and saving it as a .gif

yeah just open it, then go to save as, and you can pick what type of file you want to save it as
